Check this out - “Skype for school”! Office Communicator enables you to instantly communicate with your colleagues using text chat. The instant messaging software allows you to select your professional contacts and to check whether they may be available to communicate.
Office Communicator also supports file transfer, audio and video conferences. Great possibilities for teaching and learning to develop reading, writing, speaking and listening with opportunities for students to communicate with students in other classrooms and other schools.
Wikispaces for beginners
Wikis are collaborative websites you can create quickly and easily then invite colleagues or students to become members. Members can contribute and edit anytime, anywhere! Create a wiki for your level team where you can store resources, curriculum plans and showcase success stories!

Digilearn and online interactive activities
A huge library of digital learning objects known as Digilearn is available on the web for all Edumail users. In addition to this library, there are literally thousands of sites which offer very appealing interactive educational activities. Spend some time exploring these sites to build your personal library of eLearning resources. We will also investigate a handy tool for organising your library known as Del.icio.us
Creating resources with Easiteach
Lots of great IWB activities online but you can’t find what you’re looking for?
Many online activities are from the UK or US so those involving measurement or currency for instance are not suitable. Why not make your own!
This session will guide you through the creation of an Easiteach resource.
Please bring your laptop, fully charged, with Easiteach software installed.
Suitable for early and middle primary.

This dimension of ICT can be addressed with an array of online tools. Develop your students’ ability to represent their thinking graphically
with these engaging tools. In this session we will explore Intel’s thinking tools, online
graphic organisers and online concept mapping software.
Creating online surveys
There are many occasions where you may want to collect information from your students – feedback on learning activities, formative assessments to assist your design of new units, reflections on learning, opinions and preferences to inform democratic processes such as class decisions, voting in your classroom – the possibilities are endless.
Alternatively students may be collecting information as part of a learning activity and may need to design a survey.
Rather than use hard-copy surveys and questionnaires, you can create these and conduct polls online. We will investigate 3 of these online options.
Claymation for beginners
Love Wallace and Gromet?? Now you and your students can make your own animated videos, complete with credits, music and voices, using the porgram, Stop, Motion, Pro. It's easy. You will have the opportunity to make a short movie and experiment with the program.
Kahootz 3
Kahootz is an educational software application that allows students to create, explore and invent in 3D. Children aged 7-15 can easily create 3D scenes combining Kahootz characters, animals and buildings with enhanced animation, soundtracks and special effects.
Each participating teacher will need to bring their notebook with Kahootz 3 already installed to use during the training. As this is a new version of Kahootz the training will suit a beginner to the program.
This is a full day of training and you will therefore require a CRT to attend
